North Eastern Shipping Company will celebrate anniversary on the 14 of AugustExactly one year ago significant event took place in Kamchatka, it was significant for common residents as well as for the economy of the region as a whole. North Eastern Shipping Company was officially registered on the 14 of August 2010. Decision to create NESCO on the peninsula was approved by Governor of Kamchatsky region Kuzmitskiy Aleksey as well as by the Government. Nowadays the fleet of the company consists of 8 vessels (six tankers and two cargo vessels) with total deadweight of more than 100 thousand tn. From the moment of registration till nowadays the amount of taxes-and-duties paid to the budget of the region has constituted more than 38,6 mln rub. 647,452 thousand tn of different cargoes have been delivered to the region and 1,07 mln tn to Far East as a whole during this calendar year. Great attention is paid to the social policy of the company, 5% of NESCO’s profit were assigned to different projects, among them: support of Kamchatka’s paraolimpic sportsmen (equipment, practice sessions’ payment, participation in Europe Cup 2009-2010 on downhill skiing); year scholarship for 10 schoolchildren – overachievers from low-income families (program “Perfect knowledge is your capital”); support of publishing the collection of memories, articles, letters of Natalya Kiseleva and official documents named “On the Waves of Memory” and “About the defense of Petropavlovsk in 1854”; participation in organization and holding city’s contest “Teacher of the year” and many others. |
